George’s mother was Lucinda Pierce/Pearce born in Aug 1834 in Monroe Co (d 1906). Lucinda's mother was a Kilzia Pierce/Pearce born in 1813 in Georgia (d 1903). Kilzia Pierce came to AL with an Elizabeth Pearce as early as 1830. It is unknown where in Georgia Elizabeth (born 1793) and Kilzia moved from. A husband for Elizabeth Pearce is never listed. She either was never married or he died early in the marriage. It is possible Kilzia Pierce's heirs had children by Elizabeth Pierce's descendants. George Pierce's father in unknown. The death certificate says his father is Phillips Pierce but there is no such man. George is 1 of 9 children born to Lucinda Pierce. No records indicate she was ever married. Kilzia Pierce was the mother of 3 children with only 1 living in 1900 (Lucinda). Our family wants to know who George Byron’s Pierce’s father is.
